Accurate Armory TI-7 Tactical Buttstock

When back in my hometown for the holidays I found about a small company, Accurate Armory that has actually been around for a bit doing cool things. Although they make many rifle components I wanted to show off their TI-7 M4 type stock. I'm a fan as it is a great balance of a simple and effective layout yet with some very solid unique design features to make it stand out. The overall size is compact with the cheek rests adding some bulk, however I do certainly appreciate them for solid cheek weld.

This extra space does not go squandered as storage tubes are integrated using o-ringed caps that rotate for open / closure. The storage diameter size is bigger than CR123 batteries so offer some more holding options such as cleaning tools. Just in case it was not clear, these storage tubes are accessible while the stock is still attached to the rifle, as any user would expect. Beefy sling attachment slots are available at mid and low positions and even an ambi socket for Quick Release Sling Swivels.

The main lever is a good size to be easy to manipulate while being a simple low snag shape. It took me a little time to figure it out, but to completely take the stock off one just gets their fingers directly under the pivot point to pull down and clear the way for removal. This is nice as no tools are required while still being very secure. For a design feature that is hard to appreciate just from the pics, in the buffer tube zone there are metal arches that create just enough tension to reduce rattle and play yet still allowing smooth stock position changing. Not having some other lever to deal with for tension is certainly a plus.

For another seemingly small yet useful design feature, the bottom corner is nice and rounded to not only make the stock very low snag, but is great for smoothly going from a patrol (low) to high ready position with the rifle. The curve is enough to be appreciated for this functionality and still keeps the general expected shape for the rest of the shoulder pad zone. The butt has a slight angle to it which works well for using both slick and with armor, and sports an integrated rubber-like shoulder pad for additional comfort and grip. I'd say the grip is about medium, where it could perhaps be softer for more grip, however would likely be less durable.

The overall TI-7 feel is solid as it uses MIL-SPEC materials with metal components being stainless steel. Currently the main colors offered are Black, Flat Dark Earth, Olive Drab, Foliage Green, however upon request appears you can get cool guy ones with US flag treatments and even other training colors such as blue. Available in both MIL-SPEC Size and Commercial Size Extension Tubes, at a great price point for a stock of this class. Seemingly just another stock at first, the balance of a simple / clean shape with clever design enhancements makes the TI-7 worth checking out.
