At this time we don't consider ourselves dedicated to custom work and since people still inquire, we feel after it is best to be upfront about our situation. Although going on a semi rant, the hope is the information will still be helpful to anyone looking into custom patches anywhere.
Continuing on the research from my earlier article: A REAL URBAN GREY? PART1 , basically the summary is I'm looking for a better urban grey solid color. After a whole lot of testing with flat samples and finding some color zones I thought worked well, I knew it was time to start moving on to 3D testing which is the final intended use. Starting with an old ass 511 shirt and pair of Tru-Spec pants the results were surprisingly positive.
A problem I have come across lately is that we use warm greys in our patches and when doing this for custom work we sometimes get the not so happy inquiry on why the greys look brown. As it turns out, the go-to colors what most people think is grey actually doesn't match much in an urban environment. These civilian greys end up too blue or even if pure neutral, they don't have enough warmth to the color. Although concrete starts out some sort of grey, the outside is a dirty place and dirt tends to be brown.

Even slower than usual, but making sure to get the media on up. Shotshow went overall smooth this year, no crazy rainstorms and better wireless service. Scored a cold as usual from the handshake factory, but thems just part of the experience at this point. Summary words of the show, I'd say: Light-Weight and Zombies.
