Fairfield SWAT Competition
I got word of the Fairfield SWAT comp through a patch order and wanted to show some local support so hooked them up with patches for all contestants. Evan and I were lucky enough to be invited to come check out the brand spanking new Art Koch Fairfield Training Facility where it was held before the event.

The place is quite nice including a big ass short range, 100 m long range, simulations room, mat room, weapon cleaning room, classroom and more all indoors! To give the range a little test action we broke out the Viper (shorty AR) system and found some terrorist bowling pins to put down. As a bonus treat we even took the Bearcat for a spin, troublemakers in the area better beware, it is all business.

As for the actual event it went great bringing SWAT teams together from all over the county. Things started off with some good ol' exercise by doing some classic wall climbs and weight dummy carries. Shooting of course came into play then a crazy team held ladder event and even a bearcat push. For the final big show Snipers ran down the range to open envelopes to see which color target to shoot, blast the target then the rest of the team busted into the short range room, conveniently connected, where they had to shoot a moving target multiple times as it passed by numerous hostage no-shoot targets. Then as if that wasn't wild enough, balloons had to be shot on rotating targets with a short time span. I think every team racked up some kind of penalty on this one :) It was a blast to hang out and see all these professionals at work. I got tired of making thumbnails so tossed the pics in a web page generator, check them out to decipher my explanation of the events. <SWAT GALLERY>
